ExamShuru is an independent learning and practice website for CBSE school subjects. This notice explains how the platform uses personal data. The operator can be contacted using the address below.
Information used
Student accounts use a name, email address, chosen school class and authentication information. Practice and mock-test features record answers, progress, scores and use of free allowances. Teacher and administrator accounts may include access roles, assigned class, review records and uploaded educational documents. Payment details are not collected through an online checkout at present.
Why information is used
We use this information to authenticate accounts, deliver lessons and tests, maintain access permissions, show progress and results, protect against abuse, support students and handle account requests. Your test history is presented in the app for a limited period (currently 14 days); other operational records may have different retention periods.
Children and parents
ExamShuru is designed for school students, including people under 18. A parent or legal guardian should supervise a child's registration and use. Parents or guardians can contact support to ask about an account, request correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify that you are authorized to act for that student before disclosing or changing account information. Students can use the online signup form without contacting support. Registration requires an acknowledgement of the Terms of Use and this notice; students under 18 must declare that they have parent or legal guardian permission and supervision. We do not request a date of birth in the signup form. We record the acknowledgement version and submission timestamp with account metadata. This self-declaration does not independently verify age, guardian identity or parental consent, and email verification confirms control of an email address only.
Learning tools and feedback
Daily challenges, mistake revision and teacher quizzes keep detailed answers for 14 days. Monthly aggregate progress is retained for up to 12 months; previously deleted results cannot be recovered. Quiz teachers can see aggregate participation and scores for their own quizzes. Student error reports and voluntary pilot feedback are visible to authorized Full Admins. Feedback is retained for 90 days and resolved reports for up to 180 days. Public demo counters are optional, aggregate and contain no names, answers or account identifiers. They are separate from Google Analytics consent and are retained for up to one year. Sharing a demo or quiz link does not share student account details or scores.
Service providers and security
Hosting and database infrastructure are provided through Vercel and Supabase. Account authentication and access controls are used to protect private functionality. No internet service can guarantee that all risks or data breaches are impossible. Do not share passwords or send sensitive student records in an initial support email.
Optional analytics
Google Analytics is optional and disabled until a visitor agrees on eligible public educational pages. Signed-in student, test, membership and administrator pages are excluded. Visitors can decline without losing access and can change the choice using Analytics preferences in the footer. We do not use analytics consent as consent for unrelated account processing.
Your choices and requests
To request access to, correction of or deletion of account information, or raise concerns about a child's data, contact support.cbseexam@gmail.com from the registered address when possible. We may request limited information to establish identity or parental authority. Some records may need to be retained for security, integrity or legal reasons. We will explain any limitations when responding.
